UCLA just offered Brighton OLB Osa Masina who is quickly becoming one of the most sought-after recruits in the West.
UCLA is Osa's 7th offer. He also holds offers from Utah, BYU, Michigan, Oklahoma, Washington, and Wisconsin.
Osa will be a junior this upcoming season and his offer total could double, triple, even quadruple by the time he begins his senior season. By the time signing day 2015 rolls around he could end up being one of the highest-rated prospects ever to come out of the state of Utah.
The Utes have a few things going for them in the Osa sweepstakes; First, his older brother plays there (currently a roster freshman); Second, his close friend and current Brighton teammate (Jackson Barton, a Utah 2014 verbal commit) will play there; and Third, his family and the Utah coaches are very close. All of this, plus the proximity to home and familiarity with the program will give Utah a great chance at landing this in-state star.
