Couer d'Alene (Idaho) tight end Chase Blakley is a member of the Scout 300 for
2014 and has four offers, from Washington, Idaho, Idaho State and Eastern
Washington. Blakley said
UCLA, Cal,
Nebraska and Utah are schools he's been hearing from of late. He plans to camp
with or unofficially visit Washington, Nebraska, UCLA and Utah.
El Cerrito (Calif.) linebacker D.J. Calhoun has four offers and two more Pac-12
schools could be close. Calhoun has offers from Washington, Arizona State,
UCLA and Utah and said he thinks Washington State and USC, where his sister
plays basketball, could be next. A member of the Scout 300, Calhoun said
Arizona State and UCLA lead early.
Westlake Village (Calif.) Oaks Christian quarterback Brandon Dawkins, a member
of the Scout 300, has two offers, from Notre Dame and Utah and said those two
schools are recruiting him the hardest, but that he's also interested in USC and
UCLA, schools he attended several games this fall.
West Hills (Calif.) Chaminade quarterback Brad Kaaya doesn't yet have any offers
but there is interest coming from
Stanford,
Wisconsin, Arizona, UCLA, Michigan, Oklahoma State and Oklahoma and Stanford has been his favorite.
Oakley (Calif.) Freedom running back Joe Mixon has early offers from Michigan, Oregon State, Washington, Colorado, California and Arizona State. He's also hearing from the rest of the Pac 12 plus Notre Dame, Nebraska, Wisconsin, Ole Miss, Georgia Tech and Arkansas. Mixon has already visited Cal and would like to attend Junior Days at ASU and Washington. He also mentioned unofficial visits over the summer to Nebraska, Michigan, USC and UCLA.
Upland (Calif.) athlete Jeff Farrar claims early offers from UCLA and Utah and interest from Arizona, Michigan, Oregon, Notre Dame, Florida State, Virginia, Ole Miss and Mississippi State among others. Farrar said UCLA leads right now and added he has great relationship with DB coach Demetrice
Martin and head coach Jim Mora.
Colleyville Heritage (Texas) wide out Kaelin Deboskie is still waiting for his first offer to roll in but is hearing from Arizona, Baylor, Missouri and SMU. Deboskie, who is originally from Arizona, will head back to the Grand Canyon State in the spring and will play his senior year at Tucson (Ariz.) Salpointe Catholic. Arizona is his current leader. Deboskie's oldest brother Covaughn signed with Cal before transferring to NAU and another brother Caleave currently plays at NAU.
Mission Hills (Calif.) Alemany athlete Quentin Tartabull played linebacker for Alemany but worked out with the safeties at the Army Combine and that will be his likely college position as well. Early scholarship offers have come from Hawaii and Minnesota and interest is coming in from UCLA as well. Tartabull plans to camp with UCLA in the summer and also wants to visit Hawaii. He'll also attend the NIKE Camp in the spring.
Westlake Village (Calif.) Oaks Christian tight end
Zack Bornstein
is receiving interest from Boston College, Washington State, Oregon, UCLA, Wisconsin
and Nebraska. Bornstein is most interested in Pac-12 schools, specifically Oregon, Stanford, UCLA, Cal
and Washington. Also Florida and Florida State are showing interest.
Bornstein is a nationally ranked decathlete and would like to play football and
do track in college.
Westlake Village (Calif.) Oaks Christian cornerback
Malik Cyphers has an offer from SMU, which he received as a freshman and is also
hearing from Boise State, Washington State, Notre Dame, USC and UCLA.
Cyphers said he would like to hear from some SEC schools including Florida and
LSU.
Concord (Calif.) De La Salle cornerback
Kevin Griffin
is waiting for his first offer, but is getting interest from Missouri, Nebraska
and UCLA. Griffin is highest on the Pac-12, and early on is most
interested in Arizona, Arizona State, UCLA and USC.
El Cerrito (Calif.) cornerback Adarius Pickett is in the Scout 300 and he has
offers already from Arizona State, Utah and Cal. The Golden Bears continue
to recruit him the most aggressively since the coaching change.
Los Angeles (Calif.) Crenshaw athlete
Ajane Harris worked with the quarterbacks but
is being recruited as an athlete, and said his schools of interest included Arizona, Utah, UCLA, USC, Boise State
and Oregon.
Inglewood (Calif.) receiver Zaire Andre is still waiting for his first offer,
but has interst in Colorado, UCLA, Oregon State, Arizona State, Arizona, UCLA
and Illinois.
La Verne (Calif.) Damien quarterback
Gage Pucci is hearing in the early going from Oregon State, Washington State, Boise State, Northern
Arizona and Arizona. Pucci said he would like to hear from South Carolina, his dream school.
