Young Is a Ute

Texas running back Dre'Vian Young commits to Utah...

Despite the on field disappointment Utah has endured in 2012, the recruiting continues to hum along after the Utes picked up a commitment from 3 star running back Dre'Vian Young.

"I did commit to Utah. I called Coach Scalley and told him that I wanted to commit. He was very excited."

Despite having a glut of backs committed in the Utah class, Young isn't scared of coming in and competing for a spot next season.

"I think I fit in well with the offense. I add a lot of speed to the team."

The highly sought after back had offers Boise State and Kansas State, among others, but is solid to Utah.

"Utah is the only school for me. I won't be taking anymore other visits."
