Things stay the same at 1, but plenty of movement below
1.
Oregon
(9-0, 6-0)
Is this the best team in the country? They made their case by putting up 62 on
USC
. With Cal coming in this week, the wins will continue.
2.
Stanford
(7-2, 5-1)
Stanford seems to be hitting their stride after blowing out
Colorado
. A pivotal home date with
Oregon State
comes up Saturday.
3.
UCLA
(7-2, 4-2)
UCLA now leads the South after ripping
Arizona
to shreds. The definite favorite to win the division now. Next week should be a cakewalk at
Washington State
.
4. Oregon State (7-1, 5-1)
Oregon State may have a QB controversy brewing, but they took care of things at home against Arizona State. The Beavers will have their hands full at Stanford next week.
5. USC (6-3, 4-3)
USC gave Oregon everything they had, but no defense did them in by giving up a school record 730 yards. Now another efficient offense comes in with
Arizona State
traveling to Los Angeles.
6.
Washington
(5-4, 3-3)
The Huskies picked up a big road win at Cal and have a pretty good shot of getting to 8 wins now. They host a hot
Utah
team this weekend.
7. Arizona State (5-4, 3-3)
Arizona state fell apart in the second half in a road loss to Oregon State. The Sun Devils look to stop their free fall by visiting USC.
8. Utah (4-5, 2-4)
This is the Utah team we expected. They beat up Wazzu in every facet of the game and are getting closer to a bowl game. Now it's a pivotal game at Washington on Saturday.
9. Arizona (5-4, 2-4)
The Wildcats were pretty confident coming off of the big win over USC, but were demoralized on the road by UCLA. They'll get back on track this week at home against Colorado.
10. Cal (3-7, 2-5)
Cal couldn't defend their home turf against Washington and Jeff Tedford's fate has pretty much been sealed. With Oregon up next, it could get ugly.
11. Washington State (2-7, 0-6)
Mike Leach was not happy about the shellacking from Utah. The rebuilding is going to take awhile. With UCLA and their high powered offense coming to Pullman, the ugliness may continue.
12. Colorado (1-8, 1-5)
The Buffs didn't reach 100 total yards against Stanford. They continue to get worse and worse. If they stay within 30 of Arizona this week, consider it a victory.
