With a young quarterback, the main thing you want to see is growth.
Introducing Jeremy Jones
"I don't have any offers yet, but I've been talking to Oklahoma, Baylor, Texas Tech, UTSA, and Houston, and I talked to Coach Scalley from Utah recently."
While Utah and Jones are in the infancy of their relationship, he hopes to learn more about the school and take a visit between now and when he makes his decision.
"I really like Utah and what I'm hearing about them. Being in the Pac 12 is cool. Coach Scalley said that they're very interested in me. He asked me about my film and wants me to come out to visit them at some point."
The dual-threat QB is still open to all schools, but is looking for a situation where he can come in and compete for playing time early.
"Basically just the school and whether or not they're interested in me is important. I don't have a problem with redshirting or anything, but I do want to have an opportunity to compete and play early in my career. I don't want to have to sit and wait until my senior year to get a chance to play."
With signing day 2014 still 21+ months away, Jones' recruitment will change drastically between now and then, but he'd love the opportunity to play with is brother, who is a 2013 recruit, and is receiving interest from much of the Big 12.
"It just depends on how things go and when offers start coming in. It also depends on where my brother goes. It would be nice for us to go to the same school, but that's not set in stone."
