Utah Targeting Another Louisiana prospect

Utah has landed a player from Louisiana in each of the last two classes and is looking for more
Noland Sharpe
may come from the South, but the offensive lineman prospect isn't tied to the region and with the interest he's receiving, may have the opportunity to play anywhere he wants.
"
Mississippi State
has offered, but I've also been hearing a lot from
Utah
,
Alabama
,
Georgia
,
Tennessee
,
USC
,
Stanford
,
Oregon
, Cal, and
Georgia Tech
."
The Utes are trailing a few SEC schools, but may have a leg up at some point if they decide to offer due to the way they use their offensive linemen.
"Alabama and Tennessee are the two schools that are standing out a lot right now for me, but I'd also like to play at a place where they pull their guards. They don't do that a lot in the SEC. I've watched Utah and they pull their guards a lot. I want to come out there and visit, but it's far and tough to get to."
With Utah's rise to prominence over the past couple of years, they've gone from a no name school to a consistent winner in a BCS conference, and guys like Sharpe are starting to take notice.
"The first time I saw Utah was in the Sugar Bowl a couple of years ago. I honestly didn't even know they had a football team before that and thought they were just a basketball school."
The 6-2, 260 pounder is aware of Utah's current players and commits that came from Louisiana and sees that as a draw as a place that might feel like home.
"I'm just looking for a schol that feels like home. They need to be honest and upfront with everyone and very straightforward. I respect that a lot."
With spring on the horizon, Sharpe will be busy on the camp circuit well into the summer as he hopes the hard work turns out a few more offers with a decision before his senior year starts.
"I'm just going to be attending a lot of camps in the south and then hopefully deciding at the end of the summer."
