Marsh To Visit Utah

Marsh To Visit Utah

Alphonso Marsh is one of six players from Compton Dominguez to receiver offers from Utah...

Compton Dominguez's Alphonso Marsh is one of the top corners in the country, and is half of the top high school corner tandem in the nation along with teammate Brandon Beaver. Both picked up offers from Utah as Marsh is collecting them rapidly as his recruitment picks up steam.

"I have offers from Tennessee, SMU, New Mexico, Utah, Boise State, UCLA, Washington, and Arizona. No favorites right now. I'm pretty wide open."

As the offers role in, the corner is planning out his summer with where he'll be visiting.

"Last weekend I took and unofficial visit to Washington and I've taken visits to UCLA and Arizona State. I want to visit to Boise State and Arizona, and I'll be attending the Utah camp."

Marsh will be taking a long hard look at the roster of the school he picks, wanting an opprtunity to play right away.

"I'll be looking at the depth chart to see how good the depth chart is at my position. That and I want to see how good the education is. Those are the most important things I'm looking at."

On Wednesday Utah made it out to Compton Dominguez and Marsh picked up some good news with his newest offer.

"I was very happy with the Utah offer. I wasn't epecting it because I haven't been talking to Utah much. It's a school I always liked growing up. It's a great program nand they're going to do whole lot better going to the Pac 12 and I can see them going to a BCS Championship game."

With the Utes now off to the Pac 12, Marsh would have a chance to come home and play in front of family every year with the Utes soon to be annual road trip to face either UCLA or USC.

"I'd love to play in front of family every year. That would be nice."

Whatever school ends lands Marsh will have a great opprotunity to land a few of his teammates who were also offered by Utah in Beaver, Dejon Allen, Deon Thompson, Lacy Westbrook, and Damian Turpin.

"Some of us have talked about playing together. That is something that I think would be cool. Having Brandon playing opposite me at corner in college like in high school would be fun."

With more offers likely on the way, and having pretty much his pick of school from around the country, Marsh is in no rush to make a decision.

"Probably during the fall, but I'm just tring to get ready for the season and focus on the season."
